Organizational Director

An exciting and challenging opportunity exists to play a leadership role at Canada’s largest voluntary funder of community services. You will provide strategic direction in the development of United Way of Greater Toronto’s new organizational capacity building unit and programs.

Reporting to the Vice President, Allocations and Community Services, you will lead the capacity building team in overseeing programs, funding and resources to strengthen the organizational effectiveness of member agencies.  You will foster and manage external relations and partnerships to advance the organizational capacity building strategic objectives. 

You are a high energy, creative, results driven individual.  You have sound knowledge of the human service sector with at least five to seven years management and staff supervision experience in the non-profit sector with post secondary education in a related field.   You have demonstrated project management skills, effective analytical, writing, facilitation and communication skills.  You have proven interpersonal and negotiation skills with a strong background in organizational development, adult education, or non-profit consulting, and expertise in one of: Human Resources, Strategic Planning or Leadership Development.
