Founded in 1986, Visual Arts Brampton (VAB) is a not-for-profit visual arts organization that fosters artistic expression through education, exhibitions and community outreach.

VAB offers a broad range of educational programming including year-round weekly art classes for kids and teens, full-day summer and spring break camps, adult art classes in a variety of media, and drop-in open studio, portrait and life drawing sessions. VAB’s team of experienced artist instructors are committed to the success of students by emphasising the importance of progress and growth. At VAB, the artistic journey is just as essential as the finished product.

Designed for the emerging artist, VAB’s weekly Art Refined class for teens stimulates student’s creativity abilities through focused, in-depth art instruction. Students learn and hone their skills in a diverse range of fine arts media and techniques. This class welcomes young art enthusiasts of all skill levels.

In collaboration with Shoppers World Brampton, Visual Arts Brampton’s teen students were given the opportunity to create three large- scale murals on vacant storefronts in the shopping centre.

Sunset over the Dragon’s Kingdom by Aanwika, Joshua, Siya, Quentin and Victoria.

The murals were designed and painted by the students themselves under guidance of local artist and instructor Aditi Ganeev Sangwan.

The students’ creativity and dedication to their work is evident in the final pieces, which are now on display at Shoppers World Brampton.
