MIND GAMES. LIVE!

World-renowned hypnotist Asad Mecci is the mastermind behind the internationally acclaimed phenomenon HYPROV which continues to push the boundaries of comedy, creativity, and audience participation.

World-renowned hypnotist Asad Mecci has just announced a major 2026-2027 tour for his highly acclaimed show HYPROV alongside Improv legend Colin Mochrie.

The mastermind behind the internationally acclaimed phenomenon HYPROV continues to push the boundaries of comedy, creativity, and audience participation.

Following sold-out performances across North America, an acclaimed Off-Broadway run, a Las Vegas residency, a streaming debut, and a series of sold-out performances across Australia, Mecci and Mochrie are bringing their acclaimed live phenomenon HYPROV to audiences across North America.

Over the past decade, Mecci has built one of the most unique and successful live entertainment properties to emerge from Canada. As the creator and star of HYPROV, he pioneered an entirely new theatrical experience that combines the power of hypnosis with the spontaneity of improvisational comedy. Together, Mecci and Mochrie have transformed the bold concept into an international sensation, captivating audiences with a one-of-a-kind show where no two performances are ever the same.

Created by Mecci alongside Mochrie and producer Jeff Andrews, HYPROV invites audience members onto the stage, where Mecci guides volunteers into a heightened state of creativity and imagination through hypnosis. The most responsive participants then join Mochrie for a completely improvised comedy experience, creating the electric chemistry and unpredictable moments that have made HYPROV a must-see theatrical event around the world.

“Seeing HYPROV grow from an idea we first experimented with at Second City in Toronto into a show that’s now playing iconic venues like Roy Thomson Hall, the National Arts Centre, and Fallsview Casino is incredibly rewarding,” says Mecci. “What excites me most is that no matter how big the stage gets, the heart of the show remains the same. Every night, ordinary people step into the spotlight and create something extraordinary. Audiences can expect big laughs, unbelievable moments, and a completely unique experience that will never happen the same way again.”

Since its debut at Toronto’s Second City in 2015, HYPROV has evolved into an international phenomenon. Following acclaimed appearances at Just For Laughs and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the production embarked on multiple North American tours, made its Off-Broadway debut at New York’s Daryl Roth Theatre, completed a Las Vegas residency at Harrah’s, sold more than 7,300 tickets during a two-week Toronto engagement presented by Mirvish Productions, and most recently drew sold-out crowds across Australia, demonstrating the show’s growing international appeal and the universal power of its unique blend of hypnosis and improvisation.

HYPROV also reached a major milestone with its network premiere on CBC and streaming debut on CBC Gem, allowing audiences across Canada and beyond to experience the acclaimed production from their own homes for the very first time. Capturing the spontaneity, laughter and unpredictability that have made the show a live sensation, the special introduced HYPROV to an entirely new audience while preserving the magic of its unique audience-driven format.

While audiences know HYPROV for its laughter and unpredictability, the show’s foundation lies in Mecci’s more than 25 years of expertise studying human behaviour, communication, creativity, and the power of the mind. One of the world’s most sought-after hypnotists, Mecci has performed for millions of people around the globe and has been featured by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Entertainment Tonight, MTV, HGTV, BBC and numerous international media outlets.

His work extends beyond the stage. Mecci has collaborated with Olympic champion coach Brian Orser on mental performance training programs used by elite athletes and has consulted with major organizations on communication, motivation and peak performance. His debut album, An Exploration of Hypnotic Sound, is a collaboration with music legend, Rufus Wainwright.

Through HYPROV, he has transformed decades of expertise into a ground-breaking entertainment experience that continues to redefine audience participation.
